All About ... Charlotte's New Ladders

This video is all about the Charlotte NC Fire Department’s three new Ladder companies the department is placing in service this year. To help handle the increasing call load and meet department response times benchmarks, the Charlotte Fire Department plans to place three new Ladder companies (ladder 45, Ladder 20 and Tower 17) into service by the end of 2025. The video will look at where the companies will be located, the apparatus they will use and estimated timeline to implement these changes. Photos used in this video are my own with the exception of Charlotte Engine 44 and Station 41, which are courtesy of CharlotteFDTrucks.com and the new apparatus construction drawings and images of the stock apparatus, which are from Atlantic Emergency Solutions and Pierce Fire Apparatus. I created the maps using QGIS software and opensource data.
