The dude is a force and has already delivered the awesome indie The Signal, not to mention the excellent and criminally under-appreciated The Ritual, which was acquired by Netflix out of the Sundance Film Festival. He's also behind one of the most memorable V/H/S segments - "I like you" - not to mention the crazy surgery sequence in Southbound. And while he's prepping a remake of Hellraiser for Spyglass and Hulu, horror fans are in for a treat with his remarkable The Night House, a supernatural horror for the arthouse crowd. The movie is a banger and one of the best of the year. With the film set for release in just a few weeks, Disney's Searchlight has released a brand new trailer that is as spoiler-free as you can get, but still offers up a taste of how atmospheric and chilling The Night House truly is. “The film follows a widow (Rebecca Hall) who begins to uncover her recently deceased husband’s disturbing secrets.” Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times, Hellraiser, SiREN) wrote the script. “The Night House is a standout film… It’s moody and atmospheric, but above all, it’s scary as hell,” wrote Meagan Navarro in her review of The Night House out of the Sundance premiere.
