GMR Infra Demerger: Airport Vs Non-Airport

For an investor, interested in the demerger play of GMR Infrastructure Ltd., the last date to buy shares would be January 10, as the record date is January 12. GMR Infra will be demerging its non-airport business to a new unit - GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd. – which will be listed on the exchanges most probably by the end of February. Six brokerages, which have coverage on this stock, have assigned a value of Rs 34/share for the airport division and a value of Rs 11/ share for the non-airport division. However, the net value comes down to Rs 37/share because of the debt. As the share prices are trading at a 24% premium to this average value, it would be interesting to see what value the market assigns to both these businesses of GMR Infra.
