DIY TURBO REMOVAL - Range Rover Sport L320 3.6 TDV8

One of the big issues with the 3.6 TDV8 engine is the longevity of the Turbos. In my 2007 car, at just 109,000 miles, it has Turbo Failure. Land Rovers own repair manual says you need to lift the entire body from the chassis to gain access, remove and replace both turbos. As you can imagine, this is not a cheap job. Easily costing around £3,000, plus any additional parts that are broken along the way. I decided to try an alternative method. Using just standard sockets, some spanners and axle stands, I elected to remove both turbos myself.
