Measuring Height with Protractor

I took a protractor, string, and a weight (in my case, a nut) and used this contraption to measure the height of a couple objects using angle and distance to find height. A couple measurements with some basic trigonometry can get you the height of an object. In this video we use tangent since we will have the angle, and the adjacent measurement and we will be finding the height (opposite of angle) given than tangent is opposite over adjacent. tan(a°) = opposite/adjacent where 'a°' is your degree angle.
