The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever - "LOST" 1966 US Stereo Mix (Vinyl Rip)

This was the first stereo mix of the song, which appeared in 1967 with the American version of the Magical Mystery Tour album on the Capitol label (side “B” matrix number SMAL-X-2-2835). This stereo mix was never officially released in the UK, as the first UK stereo version was mixed by George Martin in 1971 for the compilation album The Beatles 1967-1969, which is the one used on subsequent releases and remasters of the song. Key features on this US stereo mix: Narrower stereo image. Lennon’s vocals has reverb. When take 26 begins, the cellos moves from the left channel to the right channel. This mix also appeared on the Japanese edition of the Magical Mystery Tour album released in 1976 by Apple/EMI Japan, of which I have a copy and was able to rip this recording. Enjoy!
