Tomorow, June 4th at 7 p.m, the Winnipeg Chapter of the Royal Canadian College of Organists invites you to a unique and unforgettable concert experience—performed across not one, but two beautiful churches, featuring two magnificent organs. The evening begins at Young United Church, where the first half of the program will be performed. Then, during intermission, attendees can either stroll or take a provided shuttle bus down Broadway to All Saints Anglican Church for the second half. Thanks to the Royal Canadian College of Organists, buses will be available for those who prefer a ride. At the keyboard for this concert is the fearless and extraordinary organ virtuoso Isabelle Demers. If you’re not yet familiar with this Canadian sensation..... Isabelle Demers is an internationally celebrated organist hailing from Quebec. A Juilliard doctoral graduate, she has dazzled audiences worldwide as both a performer and educator. She formerly chaired the organ department at Baylor University in Texas and now serves as an associate professor at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music. Her program begins with 20th-century organ works at Young United, followed by a second half at All Saints featuring masterworks by Felix Mendelssohn, Sweelinck, Bach, and others. This promises to be a truly remarkable musical journey.
