Coringa Wildlife sanctuary is located at 20 km away from Kakinada on Yanam Highway, it is the second largest mangrove after Sunderbans in West Bengal. this wildlife sanctuary is spread across 235 square kilometers. It is located in the delta region of Godavari and was recognized as a sanctuary in 1978 with the intention of protecting the rich species of Mangrove and wildlife The main attraction is the wooden bridge located here to see the coringa forest. this Place has a different charm and you will get the real feel of the place when you walk on the wooden bridges over the swamp area. it is said that The sanctuary is famous for its flora and fauna. Various rare species of mangroves and also rare species of birds are found here. The mangroves provides feed for significant number of birds. The region also sees heavy growth of herbs and shrubs.
