Director of Public Safety, Mike Yaniero retirement ceremony - April 21, 2025 It was a beautiful day to honor the legacy of Director Michael Yaniero as he steps into his new chapter of retirement. Director Yaniero has served the City of Jacksonville for over 20 years, but has been serving in the public safety sector for 50 years. Today was not only a celebration of this milestone, but the sharing of stories, memories, and testimonies of the servant leadership he has provided. Thank you Director Yaniero for your lifelong dedication to public safety and the work you have poured into the Department to ensure not only a level of excellence but continued progression.
