Lee Dr. Lee specializes in bone tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, metastatic bone cancers, spine tumors, giant cell tumors, bone cysts, osteochondromas, CT-guided radiofrequency ablation for osteoid osteomas as well as complex pediatric orthopedic surgery for developmental orthopedic disorders, complex fractures, limb lengthening and deformity correction. Dr. Lee and his clinical team at CUMC Musculoskeletal Tumor Service provide excellent clinical care for complex orthopaedic diseases using state-of-the art technology including CT-guided radiofrequency ablation. Dr. Lee is currently Vice Chair for Research and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2012, for the first time, The Board of Trustees at Columbia University awarded Dr. Lee with a university-wide Tenure appointment; Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in honor of his scholarly accomplishments as a clinician-scientist with NIH-funded research programs. Dr. Lee obtained his medical degree from Seoul National University in Korea.
