I recently sat down (virtually via Zoom) with Caleb Rapoport of Nerd Halen, and discussed how he formed his ultimate Van Halen tribute band. His mostly Roth based band is based out of LA, and puts on a highly energetic live show where every band member dresses up like a Van Halen nerd! Besides the formation of his band we go into the gear he uses and also some amazing stories of him meeting the man himself Mr. Eddie Van Halen! We even get a up close look at his brand new EVH Striped Series Frankie Relic, and he discusses how he uses his variac to truly pay a tribute to Eddie.
