Florida's Brightline (formerly Virgin Trains USA) railway continues to make progress along the Florida East Coast corridor from Miami to Orlando. The full route is scheduled to be finished in 2022. In Melbourne, a temporary bridge is being built over Crane Creek. The temporary bridge will be used by the crane to access both ends of the future train bridge during construction. While videoing the Crane Creek bridge construction, I heard a train horn, and sure enough a northbound FEC train drove across the bridge. Then, we see the same train again at Suntree Blvd (Pineda South control point) as a southbound train waits to continue. Later, I head up to Cocoa, FL to check on the tunnel under SR-528 and the "Cocoa Curve". Tunnel segments are under construction and will later be placed under SR-528. Again, a train horn sounded while there, but it turned out to just be a pair of GP40-2s.
