The event that was the onset of despair for the Mortem Manor took place on November 1st, 1813, when Annabelle White, the mother of Victor Mortem, was murdered within the mansion, and her spirit is left to wander for eternity, but she won't be alone for long. On October 13, 1846, Victor Tuer Mortem murdered his soon to be wife, Emily Ravenscroft, his daughter, Clementine Mortem, and his butler, Alfred Cooper, within his mansion, the Mortem Manor, all on the night of his and Emily's wedding. Eleven years later, even more murders took place in the mansion on the Halloween night of 1857 when Jack Hex murdered his brother Steven and everyone else in the home with his girlfriend Janice. This was the beginning of all the horror that eventually took hold of the entire town of Nightmare, for centuries, turning it into a wicked place full of death and despair, and for the last ten years, living mortals have wandered into the town on Halloween night, but this year, after centuries of misfortune and sorrow, the town of Nightmare is finally coming to an end. This Halloween, a ghostly ball is being held at the Mortem Manor, the place where all the horror begin, and they're inviting you to join them in death, for a spectral gathering unlike any other, where the mansion will finally reveal the ghostly secrets within its blood soaked walls, but it is doubtful you'll make it out to tell the tale.
