It is the most common reason for infertility with a mass in the abdomen. So they told the doctor that I feel I am putting on weight, specifically in the lower abdomen, and I am feeling the heaviness. Or they have severe pain and bleeding during the period. But sometimes we may need the help of higher imaging modalities like MRI pelvis. While this is required for the fibroid mapping, it is best to know how many fibroids there are and where they are exactly located. Sometimes the fibroids can be in the broad ligament. It means the lateral part of the uterus is called the area is called the broad ligament. If the fibroids are there, they can put pressure on the ureter, and the ureter can get damaged during the procedure. So for these kinds of patients, we can do urethral strengthening before the procedure so that the ureters can be identified easily during the procedure and their injury can be prevented. So this kind of planning and team management is very important for the patients, where the location of the fibroid plays a very important role. And the patient is planning for pregnancy, where we have to save the uterus for future conception. So we need MRI help for the fibroid mapping. So what happens after this fibroid mapping? All the evaluation is done. So you have to be in good hands. The surgeon's surgical skills are limited to do only fibroid removal. This is called myometomy. So we do the myometomy procedures laparoscopically. The suturing techniques are very important.
