In my previous video (   • Creating a retro computer network in ...  ) I created a retro network between 3 virtual machines using ms-dos, windows for workgroups 3.11 and windows 98 SE. In this video we are going to be creating a retro Microsoft network using ms-dos, windows for workgroups 3.11 and windows 98 SE. We'll be deploying a 10Base-2 network using coaxial cabels, bnc T connectors and end cable terminators. We'll cover file sharing, the microsoft NetBEUI protocol , and how to map network drives between the 3 operating systems. We'll go over the hardware involved (my 286 running ms-dos, my 486 running Windows for Workgroups 3.11, and my Intel Celeron 333 running Windows 98 SE) and the software needed to setup the network.
