It’s time for final assembly. In this video, I finish assembling a Harley-Davidson Sportster engine, installing the pistons, rings, and cylinders (jugs) and checking everything carefully before the motor goes back into the frame. I walk through: Checking piston ring end gap and verifying specs Installing pistons and wrist pin clips Using heat to make assembly easier Installing freshly painted cylinders Verifying smooth piston movement and proper fit Final checks before the engine leaves the bench This is the last major step for this motor on my end—the customer will finish the remaining assembly once the engine is installed in the frame.
