Today we’re taking a look at the be quiet Pure Power 12 1200w power supply courtesy of be quiet. Be quiet has a long history of making some real quality power supplies, cases, and coolers so I’m very interested to take a look at the Pure Power 12. In terms of the Pure Power 12 series lineup, we have a 550 watt, 650, 750, 850 1000, and 1200 watt option. All of the Pure Power PSUs are not only fully modular but also 80 plus gold rated in terms of efficiency. Just like all of the other be quiet components, the Pure Power 12’s run very quietly thanks to using a silent wings fan and the overall board and component design. 🔥 Cool Stuff on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3B6Gqru 🔥 The 1200w version runs around 10.1dba at 10% load or 120w, 10.6dba at 20% load or 240watts, 10.7dba at 50% or 550watts, most gaming systems will below this and finally at full load the fan will only output 34.3 dba which is actually quiet for a 1200W system, your cooling fans will be a lot louder. I'm setting up this 1200w PSU on my new AMD Ryzen 9700X and RTX 4070 Super benchmarking system. Admittedly, this is a little a bit overkill but it definitely leaves me plenty of room to grab a higher end GPU and comfortably and go full water-cooling if I wanted. In addition to the very high efficiency, the Pure Power 12 M series is ATX 3.0 compatible meaning we are getting cabling for a PCIe 5.0 GPU power or 12VHPWR. No worries if you have an older or current generation GPU though, we have the more common 6+2 power connections available also. This PSU is a dual rail PSU, rail one it 12V1 supports up to 55amps and rail two or 12V2 supports up to 50amps. Just to give you an idea of the build quality, the PSU body or casing is nice and smooth, looks good in my opinion even though most cases will hide the PSU. The modular connections on the PSU are solid and very easy to use. There's a satisfying click feeling and the cables are nice quality as well. I like that be quiet positions the power supply side of the modular connections vertically, I think it makes it easier for me to plug in cabling but that's just my opinion.
