This is how I break it down: 0:00 Intro 0:41 ACCOMMODATIONS Things to consider: What kind of place are you traveling to? Is it known for being relatively safe? How are you getting around? What would give you the most comfort? (Would you be more comfortable staying alone? Or in a shared accomodation? Or in a hotel where you can be around others in the hotel lobby or bar?) When you're booking an airbnb: How do others rate the location? How does the host advertise the location? Do the reviews give more info about the location? Consider booking with a super host and verified listings with LOTS of positive reviews only. If you're booking a hotel Check the location information and walking score on Trip Advisor 2:45 TRANSPORTATION Things to consider: What time should you arrive? Better to arrive during the day (vs after dark)? Plan ahead to know exactly how to get to your FIRST point A to point B (don't show up not knowing how to get from the airport to your accommodations for example!) Resources for finding out how to get from A to B 1. Google maps 2. Transportation (airport or train) website 3. Uber (is it available? what's the approx cost of how much it costs if you use it? Does the place you're arriving at have wifi so you can connect to Uber?) 4.
