Children are not born self-sufficient or possessing the knowledge they need to live successfully; they must be trained. God gave that responsibility to parents, and He holds them accountable for how they raise their children. Like all of parenting, teaching children must be intentional. it does not take place by accident. The lives and welfare of future generations depend on how effective we are today as parents in training our children. The quality of our parenting today will be reflected not only in the lives, values, and attitudes of our children but also in the lives of their children and their children’s children. Our success or failure as parents will have long-term, multigenerational consequences. This responsibility is squarely on parents' shoulders.
