I bought this mask from Amazon a little over a month ago, and I have used it several times out in the cold here in NYC—and I think this mask is great. This item is the N-Ferno 6823 winter balaclava by Ergodyne. This winter mask is made of thermal fleece, and this thermal balaclava is wind-resistant, lightweight, and warm. The balaclava covers my whole head: my face, ears, mouth, and it keeps my neck warm—so I don’t really need to wear a scarf. And while the mask is warm, it is not too thick—and I have worn a knit hat over top of the mask. And speaking of scarves. This winter face mask can be pulled down over my head in a way that it functions like a scarf. I like that when I wear the mask over my nose and mouth I can still breath comfortably. Another thing that I like about this cold weather mask is that the mask does not itch my skin. I bought the black cold winter mask, but this mask also comes in lime green and gray. At the time of this video, the gray mask and the black mask both cost $11.25, while the green mask is $13.95. The product description on Amazon says that the mesh part of the mask that covers the mask is supposed to prevent the wearer’s safety or other glasses from fogging, but I have worn these with my safety glasses and my glasses did fog up. Maybe it’s the way I am wearing the mask—I don’t know—but my glasses got foggy—for sure. With all of that said, let me tell you I really like this black cold weather mask. The cold weather mask has, indeed, kept my head warmer this winter.
