Welcome to today's video. Did we renovate today? Hungarian pencil sharpener STUDIUM 717. This sharpener is from the 1950s. It is made of sheet metal on the outside and part of it is made of aluminum on the inside. The sharpener is used to restore the tip of a pencil or crayon. When writing, drawing or sketching, none of us avoids the moment when a pencil or crayon needs to be sharpened. Sharpeners can be divided into two groups: Classic - which is a sharpener with one blade And milling machines - and these are two milling machines facing each other, these sharpeners are usually hand-cranked or electric. The first sharpener patent appeared already in 1828 under the number # 2444, registered by the French mathematician Bernard Lassimone. Other patents are from 1860, but sharpeners began to be produced on a large scale between 1884 and 1915, mostly mechanical types. And the pencil is an integral part of the sharpener, so it is worth mentioning that the first production of pencils was patented by the French chemist Nicolas Conte, and what were pencils sharpened earlier?
