Siobhan Ousley, 42, of Oxford (left), has been battling Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria - recurrent rashes or hives (top and bottom right) that can come on without warning and last for unpredictable lengths of time. The condition was so severe at times it left her unable to get out of bed, walk or go to work. Her case was so extreme that one some occasions she even developed hives on her internal organs, leaving her in unbearable pain. After trying a myriad of treatments, her condition is finally under control thanks to a pioneering new drug called omalizumab, which she injects every six weeks. She said: 'I look back at pictures now and don't even recognise myself. People don't realise just how serious these sorts of conditions can be. I'd have days where I couldn't walk, or even get out of bed. To be that debilitated by a skin condition must sound unbelievable to some people, but that's the reality of it.'
