'Hindu Temples around the world' - Kuil Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple, Penang, Malaysia

Sri Sakthi Vinayagar Temple, Jalan Fettes, is a Hindu temple located in Penang and dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Temple is collective managed by the Penang Hindu Endowments Board. The temple’s main deity is Lord Ganesha, and the temple itself is known for its vibrant hindu festivals. The temple began as a small shrine in 1962. It was the only Hindu temple in Penang where the principal deity is Ganesha. Close to 90% of Hindus live in the Indian subcontinent but the effect of Hinduism can be seen all over the world. This series is a humble initiative to explore the spread of Hindu culture beyond the shores of India by presenting various Hindu temples throughout the world and taking the viewers through the history of each temple against a Carnatic music background.
