Share your culinary creations with us and tag your foodie adventures. 📸👩🍳 Ingredients Chole (Chickpea Curry): • 1 bowl of soaked white chickpeas (soaked for 7-8 hours) • 2 tomatoes (finely chopped) • 1 onion (finely chopped) • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp ginger paste • 1 tsp garlic paste • ½ tsp turmeric powder • ½ tsp garam masala • ½ tsp red chili powder • 1 tsp cumin powder • 2 tsp chana masala • Water as needed for soaking and cooking • Roasted cumin, kasuri methi, and coriander leaves for garnish Masala Aloo (Spiced Potatoes): • Boiled potatoes (quantity as desired) • Salt to taste • Garam masala to taste • Red chili powder to taste • Cumin powder to taste • Amchoor powder to taste • Coriander powder to taste • Coriander leaves for garnish Curd (Yogurt): • Curd (yogurt) to taste • 1/4 tsp salt • 1/4 tsp red chili powder • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder • Boondi (fried chickpea flour balls) to taste Rice: • Rice (quantity as desired) • Water for boiling • Salt to taste Procedure To make Chole (Chickpea Curry), start by taking 1 bowl of soaked white chickpeas (soaked for 7-8 hours0, and put them in a pressure cooker. Then add puree of 2 tomatoes, 1 finely chopped onion, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of ginger paste, and 1 tsp of garlic paste to the chickpeas, and mix them well. Add enough water to cover the chickpeas, put the lid on the cooker, and pressure cook for 3 whistles. After the cooker cools down, open it and add the chole masala. For the masala, In a bowl add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of garam masala, ½ tsp of red chili powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, and 2 tsp of chana masala. Mix it well with a little water and add it to the chickpeas, then cook for an additional whistle. After opening the lid, press the backside of a ladle against the chickpeas to make the gravy creamy. Garnish with roasted cumin, kasuri methi, and coriander leaves. For the Masala Aloo (Spiced Potatoes), take boiled potatoes and cut them into round pieces. Dry roast the potatoes in a pan. Then in a bowl, mix salt, garam masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, amchoor powder, and coriander powder. And add this spice mixture to the roasted potatoes and mix well. Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves. For the Curd (Yogurt), beat the curd for 2-3 minutes. Add 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of red chili powder, 1/4 tsp of roasted cumin powder, and boondi (fried chickpea flour balls). Mix well to make boondi raita. Finally, for the Rice, in boiling water, add salt, and soaked rice. Mix and let it cook until the rice is tender. Turn off the heat, drain any excess water, cover, and let it steam for 5 minutes.
