300Watt Buck with GaN from EPC - the Future is here!

This video '300Watt Buck with GaN from EPC - the Future is here!' presents a new EPC 9534 eval card (with the EPC9157 brick implementing the GaN FET EPC2218) from EPC (Efficient Power Conversion). It is a 1/16 Brick module capable of 300 Watts at 12 V ouput (and nominally 48 VDC input). The buck converter uses teh ISL81806 by Intersil now part of Renesas that is designed to run with GaN FETs. This is the Future of Power Electronics. The EPC2218 GaN FET will make large impacts in Switching Power Supplies, Class D power amplifiers, and anything that uses a power MOSFET. #GaNFET #GaN #EPC #300WBuck The eval board was provided for evaluation for no cost.
