JJ Lures - Tools needed to Build your own Wood Lures

http://jjlures.blogspot.com/ In this video we go over the process for building the wood lure bodies. We start by making patterns or templates for the shapes of the lures. We then draw the patterns on the blank wood that we are using. After that, we cut out the rough profile using the band saw and then do the rest of the shaping on the belt sander. Prior to the final sanding, we cut the slot for the bill, cut the slot for the tail and cut the lure at the joints. Notice the jig for the belt sander. It is made to clamp the sander in the upside down position and is then clamped to the workbench.
