He was taken away from us in the prime of his life, and the legacy he left behind will last forever. He was a very positive human being that made everyone feel like his best friend, and his passion for music was infectious. On the 3rd anniversary of his tragic death on July 14th, 2017, nine musicians who all knew and loved Dave wanted to pay tribute to that carefree spirit that made a lasting imprint. We selected "Listen to the Music" by the Doobie Brothers, because not only did Dave love jamming it in rehearsals and on tour, but the mood and message of the song encapsulates how Dave lived his life and made us all feel. This was made for the David Z Foundation, which is an educational non-profit working to help further the education of aspiring young musicians.
