Learn how to make this beaded necklace in my new step-by-step tutorial. The whole idea of this necklace started with the dagger beads. Their shape and colour immediately set the mood for the design. I wanted them to be the main focus, so I built the necklace around them, keeping the rest of the beadwork more subtle and structured. The base of the necklace is a rope made using the CRAW technique, which gives it a strong but elegant foundation. First, we’ll create the centrepiece with the dagger beads, and then move on to the side sections. I also show how to attach the clasp and how to add a new thread along the way. Even if you’re completely new to beadwork, you’ll be able to follow along. The tutorial is detailed and calm, and we go through every step together. All the beads used in this tutorial were kindly provided by Beads Mouse, a bead shop with a wonderful selection for beadwork and creative projects.
