Hurricane Melissa is now a category 2 storm and is currently sweeping across eastern Cuba, bringing damaging winds, torrential rain, and dangerous storm surge. The storm is moving northeast at 14 mph and is expected to accelerate in the coming days. Melissa is forecast to cross eastern Cuba Wednesday morning before moving through the southeastern and central Bahamas. Melissa will approach Bermuda late Thursday into Thursday night.
