Formula 1 Circuit of the Americas - Austin Texas October 2021

I don't know about y'all, but I've been itching to travel. How about something different for this video? We will cruise again! But for this video, I head to Austin, Texas for the Formula 1 Circuit of the Americas GP! The COTA F1 race was the most-attended event of 2021, with over 360,000 people attending the 3-day event. Come along as we explore the track, watch Formula 1 and Formula 4 cars take to the track and experience this iconic international event. Here are the highlights: 00:10 - Intro from my home studio 00:27 - At MCO for our flight to ATX. 01:08 - Arriving at COTA, day 1 of the F1 GP. 01:13 - Parking in lot "R" was a nightmare. We paid $200 to park there and they ran out of spots and tried to turn us away! 01:30 - Circuit of the Americas sign - I'm getting really excited! 01:34 - The walk from lot "R" to the entrance was over a mile. 02:00 - Finally made it to the main gate entrance. 02:07 - This reflecting pool with the F1 car is pretty cool! 02:23 - Quick intro from inside the track grounds. 02:57 - Let's explore the track a bit on our first day. 03:33 - That's a pretty sweet Lexus! 05:44 - Rockin' my new Williams F1 Rokit Racing cap. 08:12 - First glimpse at the track with F4 cars doing practice laps. 09:55 - The F4 cars are right below me! 10:13 - The tower at the COTA track was pretty sweet. Unfortunately, we never made it to the top. By the time we decided we wanted to there were too many people to even get over to that side of the track :( 10:59 - Lonestar Land on the back side of the track. BBQ for breakfast, anyone? 11:46 - More F4 cars on the track. 12:13 - Crossing the second bridge to our Turn 4 seats. 12:14 - We made it to the bleachers for our seats. Not a bad view! 13:26 - The first of three Formula 1 practice sessions. Hey look, it's Max! 14:35 - F1 COTA Day 2 14:40 - The crowd is really starting to build. Plus, their setup for concessions was TERRIBLE. The lines for concessions went out into the walkway area, causing major traffic jams. 15:01 - Let's make our way toward turn 1. 15:38 - Turn 1 is a pretty big climb from the starting grid. 16:05 - Formula 4 race number one. 16:55 - Taking a break in some shade behind our turn 4 seats. The heat was brutal for race weekend. 17:03 - Look, it's the "shake and bake" guy from Talladega Nights! 17:29 - Back to our seats for some practice and qualifying. 17:48 - F1 COTA Day 3 18:24 - The green spaces are filling up with GA fans. 19:28 - A few fans got to do a lap on a semi trailer. Kinda cool? 20:02 - Driver parade just before the race. All of the drivers load up on a semi trailer and do interviews as they drive around the track. Daniel Ricciardo is a great interview! 20:55 - Best part of the race - the USA's National Anthem - Star Spangled Banner with a skydiver and chopper formation fly-over. Super cool! 23:10 - Check out the massive crowd for COTA 2021. 23:18 - Formation lap - here they come! 24:55 - Here they come for lap #1! 25:45 - Only 10 laps to go. Here comes Verstappen! 26:04 - Last lap and Verstappen is about to take the checkered flag. 26:15 - Final results, Verstappen, Hamilton, Perez take 1, 2 and 3! 26:48 - UP NEXT - Thanks for watching! === Have you ever been to a Formula 1 race before?
