Our Universities Live On: Testimonials of Hope from Gaza

On this International Day of Education, we honour the right to education as a cornerstone of hope and freedom. Yet, for Palestinian students and academics, this right remains under attack as they contend with the aftermath of Israel’s fifteen-month campaign of scholasticide. The recent news of a ceasefire is long-overdue, and it must be accompanied by lasting solutions to rebuild and safeguard the future of education in Gaza. To mark this day, Fobzu is proud to share this short film Our Universities Live On: Testimonials of Hope from Gaza created in collaboration with students and academics in Gaza. Despite over 400 days of destruction, displacement, and siege, they continue to fight for their education and the survival of their universities, overcoming daily struggles to keep hope alive. Their remarkable determination serves a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
