The tour starts with the Palace of the Parliament, the heaviest building in the world and the largest in Europe, then continues on the bridge over the Dambovița, the river that crosses the city center, and we reach Cișmigiu Gardens, a wonderful place located in the heart of Bucharest, laid out in 1845. In the evening, the tour continues on Calea Victoriei where you can see historical landmarks such as the Royal Palace and the Central University Library and continues with the University Square to see its important landmarks, such as National Theatre and Coltea Hospital. From the University Square we walk into the Old Town as the historical center of Bucharest is known, a must-see place to visit in Bucharest. The 44 fountains in Bucharest holds the Guinness Record for the longest choreographed fountain system in the world. Bucharest is a city and municipality, Romania's capital city, the largest city in the country and the 6th largest city in the European Union by population. It is the most important economic, administrative and cultural centre of Romania. It lies in the middle of the Romanian Plain, on the banks of Dâmbovița River, a small northern tributary of the Danube. The river is lined by boulevards with walkways along its banks and flows through the central Bucharest, the Old Town, one of the most beloved and attractive areas in Bucharest. With its wide, tree-lined boulevards and the beautiful Belle Époque buildings, Bucharest brings today something of the Little Paris's charm, as the capital city was nicknamed in the early 1900s.
