Today I am sharing how I make really easy and saucy Chinese style noodles. This recipe is great for both veg and non-veg. Just skip the chicken and replace the chicken broth with vegetable broth if you want to make a Vegetarian Chow Mein. Aside from being extremely delicious, the thing I love most about this recipe is that you can do all the prep beforehand. Once everything is ready it just takes 20 minutes of cooking time, making it perfect for parties and even meal prepping a day before. Ingredients: 450gm Egg Noodles or Spaghetti 1 lbs Cabbage (approx 1/4 Cabbage) - thinly sliced 2 medium Carrots - thinly sliced 1 small Capsicum or Bell Pepper - thinly sliced 5-6 cloves Garlic - finely chopped 1 small pc of Ginger - finely chopped 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil 2-3 tbsp sesame oil 1 to 2 tsp Chilli Oil* - Optional Chicken Marination: 500gm Chicken Strips 1tbsp Corn Flour 1/4 tsp Baking Soda 1/4 tsp Black Pepper 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder or 1 tsp Ginger Paste 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder or 1 tsp Garlic Paste 1/2 tsp Allspice or garam masala powder 1 to 1 tbsp Soya Sauce 1/2 tsp Salt Sauce : 1 cup chicken/veg broth OR 1 cup water + 2 bullion cubes 1/4 cup Ketchup 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce 2 tbsp Soya Sauce 1/2 to 1 tsp Sambel Olek or Sriracha Sauce Salt if needed (taste the sauce) 1.5-2 tbsp honey or brown sugar *Note: If you don't have Chilli Oil, add 1/4 tsp (or more if desired) of Red Chilli Flakes in the oil and fry them. It will give a little tint of red to the oil and a bit of heat to the noodles. But be very careful esp if you are making it for kids, as it can get spicy fast
