Heads up, this is a long video, but I tried to not make it overly complex and gear it more as an introduction to the sherried style of whisky. There's other "sherry bombs" out there (especially in the independent bottling segment), but these are a few official releases that most should have access to. Hopefully, there are some nuggets of information hidden throughout that will make up for the length. I reviewed a Glendronich 15 year ($80-$90), 18 year ($120-$130) & Cask Strength~Batch 3 ($60-$70) as well as a 2006 release of Macallan 12 year ($45-$65) & a 2012 release of their 18 year ($185-$240), Aberlour A'bunadh (Batches 45 & 50 - $70-$100), Balvenie 15 Year Single Barrel Sherry Cask #4443 ($100-$125) & finally Bowmore's "The Devil's Cask" 3rd Edition ($100-$250). The Nosing segment begins at the 12:15 mark. The Tasting segment begins at the 21:12 mark As of 03-01-2016, my current bottle count stands at over 2,200 bottles. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for the last two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection. Thank you for watching and sharing in my passion. Cheers!
