E09 - sailing from Kilifi to Lamu then Kiwaiyu island then back to Lamu and then Kilifi (Kenya)

This trip was from the 5 March 2021 until the 17 March 2021. We left Kilifi early in the morning on a low tide to sail to Lamu. This was our first overnight passage with just the 2 of us and Jackie’s. Leia was buried next to a tree at Kilifi and it was sad to continue on without her. We spent a few days in Lamu and then sailed north to Kiwaiyu Island on the advice of Piers who is a Kenyan who sails the coast quite a bit. Chris was another Leopard Cat friend who gave us loads of pointers. He lives in Mombasa. From Kiwaiyu island we sailed to Manda Island and then back to Lamu. From Lamu we did our second overnight passage back to Kilifi.
