The price of palm oil has increased by ₹5 per litre, while sunflower oil has gone up by ₹3 per litre. According to the Traders’ Association, the price hike is mainly due to reduced imports from foreign countries. They warned that if the central government does not bring specific regulations, prices may increase further. Currently, there is stock for around 15 days, and edible oil is still arriving in the market. However, import disruptions are affecting the supply chain.
