Ari Aster's new short film, Munchausen, is a Pixar-inspired silent short about a clingy mother (played by Bonnie Bedelia, John McClaine's wife in Die Hard) who goes to a bunch of extreme lengths to keep her son from going off to college. The film was an official selection at Fantastic Fest and we're excited to share it here today. Aster's last major work—the controversial, 30-minute film The Strange Thing About the Johnsons—was called a "thrilling piece of cinematic mastery" by Indiewire, and Munchausen continues his streak.
