We started a podcast! Growing to Freedom. This podcast has been on our hearts and minds for a while and sometimes you just have to dive in. We hope you enjoy it and will join us for our weekly chats as we all learn and grow. You can check out that channel through this link    • Episode 1: Planting Seeds (Finding the Pas...   Growing To Freedom is all about passing along the knowledge we gain on our journey towards self reliance and community through food, harvest, and skill sharing. We are currently located in San Diego County, California. We are a family of 6 with 4 boys. In 2020, like many people, we got the bug to start a garden and have rapidly been doing more and more to grow towards food independence. Along with our ever-expanding garden, we also keep chickens, turkeys and meat rabbits. We are very passionate about researching and learning new skills, we are both lifelong learners and are doing our best to instill the thirst for knowledge and love of learning in our children. We feel very strongly that we need to be doing what we can to inspire people to move closer to nature and have a connection with their food. Taking steps towards that can be intimidating because we live in a society of instant gratification and low risk, but the reward, the literal fruits of your labors are immeasurable.
