La Dra. Francesca Lessa investiga cómo las dictaduras sudamericanas coordinaron sus políticas represivas en los años 1970 para secuestrar, torturar y asesinar a los/as opositores políticos/as y exiliados/as más allá de cualquier frontera. Su trabajo ha sido utilizado en los tribunales, especialmente en Italia y en el sistema interamericano, para juzgar a algunos de los responsables de estos delitos.
