The raw footage from an action camera, showing the iconic Grand Balcon Nord trail at the foot of Mont Blanc in Chamonix France at the end of September when the alpine meadows turn red and yellow. The raw sound and silence in this version are intended to give the feeling of hiking the trail from a first-person view. A shorter and more refined version can be found here :    • Grand Balcon Nord Trail - Plan de l'Aiguil...   The route is about 6 km, from Plan de l'Aiguille (2,310m) to Montenvers (1,913m). It has many rocky sections and moderate climbs. (Even though the altitude difference suggests a descent, there are still some climbs near Montenvers.) The trail is definitely not stroller-friendly, but my 71-year-old mom completed it in 5 hours, while the average time is around 2.5–3 hours. *Apologies for the heavy breathing and nose clearing sounds towards the end — my allergies kicked in.
