This battle took place on September 17, 1862. It was THE Single most, Bloodiest, One day Battle ever in history. Close to 23,000 men lost their lives or were missing. They claim that 12,400 Union Soldiers were killed or missing, and 10,320 Confederate Soldiers were killed or missing for a total of 22,720 men. ( IN A SINGLE DAY !).
