Salam Islamic Center Salaam Islamic Center provides Islamic services to the local Muslim community and cultivates interfaith dialogue in Southern California, USA. Besides Jumu’ah prayers and Ramadan activities, Salaam offers Muslim Saturday school to elementary and middle school students and Muslim day school to eighth graders. Salaam Islamic Center also organizes lectures and other similar programs on the premises and online. In the month of Ramadan, Salaam organizes food drives for homeless shelters and Muslim refugees as well. Salaam Islamic Center aims to raise awareness around our Holy Book and its proper recitation and application of its meaning amongst our community members. This event is one of those many efforts the Salaam Islamic Center organized. Sheikh Ibrahim Bakeer Sheikh Ibrahim Bakeer holds a master's degree in Quranic Sciences from Al-Azhar University. In the past, he gave many Islamic lectures on monotheism and atheism. His Quran memorization Ijaza comes from the strongest Sanad in the world, where only 35 Quran readers stand between him and the Prophet (PBUH). As an Imam and a prayer leader during Ramadan, he has traveled to more than fifteen countries. In 2009, he began organizing and hosting public television programs and contributing to social media. He has won many Quran recitation competitions worldwide and served as a judge in many of them. He has participated in Quranic Recitation Nights in multiple states in the US and abroad.
