Illness as an opportunity | Georgina Sposetti | TEDxMarDelPlata

Doctor by vocation, Mom by choice. Specialist on diabetes and clinical research. She graduated with honours from Universidad Nacional de La Plata. She has a Master’s Degree on Clinical Pharmacological Research. She participated as lead researcher in many clinical trials and is author of scientific articles on her speciality. Director and co-founder of the Instituto de Investigaciones Clínicas Mar del Plata where she currently develops her activities and disseminates the results of their investigations. Wanting to know more about the real prevalence of diabetes in her city and country, she carried out the DiMe study which she is developing along with the Instituto Nacional de Epidemiología. She recently created Fundación DiMe to help patients with diabetes. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
