It is not a pokeball! I've had this vintage Everready Globe for a few years now and never really used it because it takes 3 D cell batteries to power a tiny 3.7v light. When I was planning this, I thought I'd need to 3D print something fancy to hold the 18650 cells. But turns out, they fit almost perfectly in the battery holders. To take it a step further, I've added a protection and charging circuit to keep this light glowing bright! Sorry, I lost the footage of the soldering, but it is easy to find a wiring diagram online.
