California Air Tool Silent Compressor Review & Capacity Upgrade Air Atomized Aeroponics

Wasn't planning to do a video about this California Air Tool Compressor but, since I needed to run tests for myself and figure out my set up. I thought I would just share the content. In this video I'll give you a pretty detailed overview of the Cali Air Tool Silent Compressor. More so than what I've been able to find on YouTube myself. I need to make sure this compressor has the capability of being able to support an outdoor AAA ( Air Atomized Aeroponics Cannabis Grow Experiment ) which is coming soon! This compressor needs to be able to run 24/7. 365 days. Also, as some of you might know I've built my own diy silent compressor so, I have a direct comparison. A sorts of California Air Tool Compressor Vs DIY Silent Compressor data collecting. I question the reliability of the Cali Air Tool Compressor motor. I've not disassembled it but, if it does fail I would like to know why. I purchased the 4 year warranty so, IF it fails it's not a problem. I'm going to push this compressor to a reasonable limit so, if you guys out there are considering doing a AAA system with this compressor. You'll have some data to base it off of before making your purchase. I suspect the motor is a "brushed motor" and highly doubt they put a brushless motor in it. I believe they also use a reed valve system and their valves will fail... especially because, I feel the heat will destroy them soon than later. Again this is just speculation on my part as of right now. So, if you are looking for hard data I'll be collecting it as I put this California Air Tools Compressor to the test! As for the decibel dB level of this compressor with the intake "filter" / suppressor it will vary between mid 60's to low 70 dB depending on the distance from where you measure. For my DIY Silent Compressor it will be about -10 dB in comparison. As for the max PSI hands down the DIY silent compressor can take it up much higher. Whereas the California Air Tool Compressor is limited to about 120 psi. CFM wise they are about the same off the top of my head. I've not been able to test this because, I don't have 2 set ups with the same tank capacity. I've increased the capacity of the Cali Air Silent Compressor by adding on a external secondary 21 gallon tank. I'm doing it utilizing a 120v a/c solenoid hooked up to a pressure switch. Utilizing the solenoid allows me to boost pressure in the remote tank instantaneously without adding significant stress to the motor. Using charged air to recharge the secondary tank seemed to be the way to go. IF I were to utilize a smaller capacity tank then it would be no problem. Also, one of the techniques I didn't test for keeping the additional pressure switch and solenoid valve mounted to the Cali Air Tool Comp was just putting a small accumulator tank between the secondary pressure switch and solenoid to dampen the transfer speed and pressure during transition. At any rate I hope the content within this video is helpful to you in one form or another!
