Thanks to a keen BGG observer, apparently cards that have Action text take effect immediately when played AND you can also activate them later during their proper phase. In the video, I showed an example of playing a god card with action text, and I mistakenly said you do not get the action text until you come back later and activate it. Personally, I wish this were the rule. But officially, the rule says the action text triggers right away when the card is played. Basically, a card with Action text is like 2 actions in 1 turn (1 action to play the card, 1 action to activate the card). Then, as long as the card is still in play later, you can use your entire phase action to re-activate the card. The wording in the rulebook is absolutely horrific for this rule! There are no examples given, and even now that I understand the rule, when I read the rulebook, it still doesn't make sense to my brain.
