Simple and easy to make and very healthy for you and your family. Wonderful main dish for special occasion like holidays. When you use the garbanzo beans for filling, it will be gluten-free dish. VEGAN STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS 1 small cabbage head 1 can (15.5 oz) chickpea, washed and rinsed or ground Walnut Gluten (search youtube for the recipe) 2 c cooked brown rice ½ medium onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced ¼ c fresh parsley, chopped 2 T soy sauce, unfermented 1 tsp sweet basil 1 tsp sage 2 T nutritional yeast flakes 2 T vegan spaghetti sauce SAUCE: 1 c vegan spaghetti sauce 1/2 c water Cut the core in the middle of the cabbage head. In a large stock pot, put cabbage head and put enough water to cover the cabbage head. Cover the lid and bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Turn the heat off. Take the cabbage head and let it cool. Set it aside. Mix the sauce. Set it aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, put chickpeas or ground walnut gluten and remaining ingredients and mix well. To assemble, place 1 cup of the sauce in the bottom of 8” x 8” baked dish. Place 1/4 cup of filling in an oval shape near the rib edge of each leaf and roll up toward the outer edge, tucking the sides in as you roll. Place the cabbage rolls, seam sides down, over the sauce. Pour the remaining sauce over the cabbage rolls. Cover the dish tightly with the foil and bake for 1 hour. Delicious! Make 10 rolls.
