The recent misconducts by a small percentage of our countries law enforcement officials; have caused an emotional surge by the citizens they swore to protect. Active Listening offers an alternative approach by taking an adverse situation and turning it into a path for rationality. Strong leadership starts with noticing core details in issues, challenges, and opportunities; this is possible when leaders have a good grasp of Active Listening Skills. Active Listening Skills are a discrete fashion that improves infrastructures with a person or a group. Would it not be nice to be able to accept new perspectives on troubling topics that cause emotional suffering? Politicians, law enforcement, and public figures seem to follow the wrong meaning of Active Listening. Active Listening techniques are designed to allow an unreceptive group, transform into a consistent community, open to negotiations, and rational conclusions. Active Listening comprises a conscious effort from the listener to reserve one's desire and to understand the needs of an aggrieved community.
