Ferry Meadows Level Crossing, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire on the Nene Valley Railway (NVR). Location: Ham Lane, Peterborough Date Filmed: 18-07-2021 - Nearest Station: Overton (for Ferry Meadows) - Trains: Polish 0-8-0T Class Sklask No. TKP 5485 Resident Steam Locomotive (Nene Valley Railway) Also known as Ham Lane Level Crossing. Rare, open level crossing near Peterborough, beside Overton (for Ferry Meadows) station on the Nene Valley Railway (NVR). There are only four GEC-Eliott halogen warning lights and two alarms protecting this crossing. The lights have been operational for many years, and previously had white borders. Red/white borders have since been added over the top, although the original borders are still visible. This crossing has remained largely unchanged since the late 2000s. The crossing is activated automatically by Peterborough-bound trains, and is manually activated by a member of traincrew before departing Overton (Ferry Meadows) station, for Wansford-bound trains. Thanks For Watching!
