Taking care of rescued coati

I took care of Patuyu, a rescued juvenile coati during my volunteer at the rescue center La Senda Verde in Bolivia. I fed him with fruits (he loves pacai, watermelon, banana), cleaned his enclosure, prepared him enrichment and played with him. He loved to get some fruit from my hand and eat it on my shoulders, we also played with water, when I was changing it in his bowl. Patuyu was very friendly (he was an ex pet) and cute. When he becomes an adult he will live freely on the property of the sanctuary. The familly who kept Patayu as a pet, got rid of him. The poor animal was found on a tree where he was hiding from dogs. He was frightened. As soon as the local people informed workers of La Senda Verde, they went for the animal and brought him to the the rescue centre. Dogs’ barking made him stressed and he was hiding as high as possible in his hammock. But apart from that he was doing well. Z moim kwiatuszkiem Patujy. Tym porzuconym i uratowanym ostronosem opiekowałam się podczas mojego wolontariatu w ośrodku La Senda Verde. Patuju przez pewien czas był "zwierzątkiem domowym", ale jego właściciele chyba sobie z nim nie radzili. Nie chciało im się nawet zwrócić do odpowiednich służb, po prostu porzucili go w małym miasteczku 😢 . Przerażony ostronos został znaleziony na drzewie, gdzie się ukrywał przed atakującymi go psami. Na szczęście miejscowi zawiadomili właścicieli La Senda Verda i maluch został uratowany. Początkowo maluszek był bardzo nerwowy, ale miłość działa cuda ❤ Jak będzie gotowy zostanie wypuszczony na terenie ośrodka. @polishdrdolittle
